make text messages go faster without putting the priority level on high

i have a cell phone and its a verizon wireless one. its called a Blitz. the problem with it is that whenever i try to send a message it like takes a half an hour to go through. so i put the priority level to high and it only takes a few minutes. the thing is i dont want to put the priority level on high i want it to be on normal and be able to send without taking half an hour. it takes about that long if i have the priority level on normal. so how do i make my text messages go faster without putting the priority level on high and just leave it on normal ?

Odd...

Putting the priority on high is not to push the message through any faster. The only purpose of that is so the person who receives it may check their message quicker, since it says "Priority High".

I can't explain why it goes faster one way than it does the other...this shouldn't happen since changing the priority has absolutely nothing to do with how things like that are sent...but I can tell you it is most likely a network issue.

An issue like this can happen for multiple reasons. Your phone may be almost dead, the person you're talking to may have network issues, Verizon Wireless is experiencing problems, or there is no reason (you just may be out of luck).

  • Take the battery out of the phone for 30 seconds (do this while the device is turned on).
  • Put it back in; then, dial *228 and press option 2. Let the process be complete. It will take a while. Once it's done, it should beep or do something special. Press the OK button when it says Programming Complete. Then it may turn off the phone and then turn it back on (automatically). If it doesn't automatically do that, you need to press the power button and turn it off and turn it back on. Then try texting again.
  • If the above steps fail to work, contact direct customer service at 1-800-493-1625 from a phone other than your cell phone. They can help you further.

Ok, so i have this friend and he has a motorola cell phone. when i text him and he text me back, it is a high priority message. I dont know if this costs extra or what. Its also confusing because the message itself has what he replys and the message i sent him that he is replying to. Whats up with this and how do i make it stopif its possible?
