major problem

I had a TX that I bought in January. I posted here a couple weeks ago, asking about syncing with two laptops, got some good advice, and proceeded. All of a sudden during a sync last week, the TX started just going through a reboot process over and over till it ran out of juice. Couldnt reset it, didn't respond to anything. Finally returned it to the store and got an even exchange. Brought it home and sycned it with laptop. It did the exact same thing!!!! Reboot, reboot, reboot, till dead!!! I'm not running any new applications, aside from a recent upgrade in backup man, but i think that preceded the problem by days if not weeks. Anybody have any thoughts?

Well at this time - hard reset the TX and then go into the backup directory on the PC for your user name and delete the "savedpreferences" file.

This will reset and cause you to lose all of your "registrations" for software but it should fix the reset issue.

My guess is during one of the sync's to the mulitple computers - this file overwrote from the backup the existing file on the handheld and is causing the problem. So make sure your hot syncs are set for "Handheld overwrites the Desktop" for the System (or backup) conduit. This conduit should always be set as such regardless of how you have the PIM conduits set......handheld should always overwrite the desktop on this conduit. And I mean always.
