MAJOR iPhone software upgrade due for the end of this week!

What if it's already built in to the hardware, and they just need to activate it via software, like they did with the Airport card?

Posted this a couple days ago but didn't see anything about something due for the end of the week. Where is that said?

the teardowns on the internet concretely prove that there are no 3G or GPS chips/radios in the current iPhone. 3G will NEVER be a software upgrade for this model in the way Airport was for 802.11n. Period.

BTW, that article says the software update will be "before Leopard in two months" not at the end of next week. I think some of those features may be fanboi speculation too, like a full file browser/finder built in.

No worse than someone on macrumors saying his "friend" has confirmed that that "iPhone 2.0" was launching in December.

Sigh.......
