I wasn't sure which area to post this, but it seems like it might be a phone-dependent feature so I'm going to try it in this forum.
I'm curently using 3 E-mail accounts on my Nokia 5800XM, including my employer's corporate Email account. Mail For Exchange is built into this phone and was a snap to set up without ever worrying about getting charged extra for it by AT&T.
Now I'm shopping for a new Android or iPhone (and maybe a new carrier), and I am being told that both AT&T and Verizon charge an extra monthly fee to access my corporate E-mail account. Is this correct, or can you access Mail For Exchange free on any smartphone as easily as I did with my unlocked Nokia?
Are there certain phones that support it while others do not, unless you pay extra? Do I need to stay away from the carrier-provided phones and get one that's unlocked for this?
Thanks.
