Magic the Gathering Clash of Heroes - Why can't I progress?

I've finished a level in a cave in the first area. I can't work out how to get out of this first area. If I go back in the cave it gives the option to have another battle. I keep getting stronger and the computer stays the same.

How do I progress to harder levels?
