macromedia flash player? camcorder?

i have a sony hc96. i installed the picture package. when i try to open up the picture package Menu ( double clicking the icon, to get to the program) it says i must install macromedia flash player first. i need 6.0 or later. i installed adaboe flash player 10. isnt that macromedia? i also tried an olderf version that said macor media. i also resterted my com puter.

i might go the route temporarily in using a memiory stick duo. what kind of device can i use to transfer the video. i have a memory stick thing for a dig camera already where i put the memory stick into it, then plug the thing into the usb. thanks
 
The Sony DCR-HC96 is a miniDV tape based camcorder. You need a firewire cable to connect the camcorder's DV port to the computer's firewire port to get the video from the tape to the computer.

USB won't work. USB-to-firewire cable/converter/adapter things won't work.

USB is used only for transferring stills from the memory card.
