I have systemic scleroderma and had my quarterly apt 2 weeks ago. I received the written blood work and the written report of my lung CT. On the report it states:
"4 x 5mm pleural nodule in the minor fissure" - lungs
"cyst in the lateral segment of the left lobe of the liver measuring 1 cm"
I called my rheumatologist and he said to call the pulmonologist right away. I called and spoke to her assistant and she said the doctor was reviewing it with the radiologist today and would get back to me in a day or two!
Well I'm scared to death. When I google the first one "minor fissure" it comes up tubercolosis. I'm also scared it could be lung cancer.
Does anyone have any knowledge of what this could be? I hope I'm worried for nothing but it's hard not to be scared to death. Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Peggy
