For the past few months ive been noticing that my lymph node under my left armpit can be felt when pressing my hand on it gently. It cant be seen from the outside. There is also some pain when pushing down on it. What could it be? Why is it that i can only feel the left one and not the right one? I dont think i was sick during this.

The lymph nodes job is to absorb the bad germs in your body. You don't have to have been sick for them to be doing their job. And you don't have to have both sides swollen either. My guess is that you got some germs or a scratch or a cut on that side and that lymph node went to work and absorbed the germs that were in the area. When they have been destroyed, the gland will shrink down to its normal size. That may take a few weeks or a couple of months. Not to worry though....
