i recently noticed a lump on my left hand. its on the right side, about 2 inches down from the bottom of my pinky/little finger, right at the side. kind of where the muscle is? it hurts when i press it , kind of the way a bruise hurts when you press it. i have no idea what it is and im really scared. when i google my symptoms, ganglion cyst is the most common result but they are never on the location that my lump is? im 20 years old and in good health otherwise. i do worry alot about my health though so as you can imagine im thinking CANCER. 
my question is what else could this be? could i have whacked the side of my hand really hard (maybe while drunk..) ? i damaged my ulnar nerve which i know runs down that side of your hand and the feeling has only just come back. any feedback is really appreciated. i cant get to my doctor till next week so this is mainly to calm my worries and stress. thanks.
