I couldn't find a board specific to my problem so I hope it's okay to post here on the General Health board.
I've got this lump on my head that's been there for about four years now. I'm not worried that it's doing me any harm because I'm in good health, but it bothers me now that I have my hair clipped quite short.
The lump is oval shaped - about 8mm long, 5mm wide, and 4mm raised. I have no hair growth on it so I effectively have a bald patch. I have a similar but much smaller lump at the back of my head but hair grows on that one.
I want to know if it's possible to surgically remove or at least reduce the size of the lump. I'm reticent to go to the doctor because I imagine he would tell me it's just costmetic and not to worry about it. But I would pay to go private.
Does anybody have any experience of this kind of thing? Thank you!
