Hi all. Recently I have discovered a strange lump on my chin (sort of close to the neck) and I'm hoping you might be able to help me out. It seemed to first appear on Saturday, where it was quite hard, and it grew a little bit throughout the day. On Sunday, no changes seemed to occur. Today (Monday) I woke up and there was still no change, but throughout the day it has gotten softer and squishier. It has a bright red colour on the outside, but is the same colour of my skin closer to my skin. It is about 3 cm in diameter at the deepest level. It seems as if I am getting a cold that is getting around, so might that have something to do with it? It kind of feels like the lump you get in your thyroid during a cold when I tilt my head up. Any ideas of what it could be?
