Hi,
I was diagnosed two weeks ago with Viral Meningitis, told it was a mild enough infection that my body should be able to fight it off and to just rest.
A week later my symptoms got worse (Extreme headaches neck stiffness vomiting and stomach cramps). I was sent to A & E and had a lumbar puncture.
I still have my symptoms albeit milder however my main problem now is the pain i have around the area of my lumbar puncture.. I was told i would have some discomfort but i have shooting and throbbing pains and i can't bend down to pick something up off the floor etc without my back hurting me.. Its been 8 days since i got my LB.. Is this normal?
The LB wasn't too painful and was over within 15 mins.
I can appreciate every person will react differently but i honestly can't go in to work or stay in a sitting position for very long and as its been awhile since i actually got the LB im beginning to worry a little?
