Last week Tuesday I had an EGD and my first colonoscopy done. Everything went well. Doc removed a couple polyps. Benign results. Next day I exercised as usual. Half hour after getting home developed severe rectal pressure - no bleeding, no abd pain. Also back pain got progressively worse. Back has been bothering me off and on for past couple weeks. By morning couldn't take the pain or pressure anymore. Had MRI, diagnosed with multilevel lumbar disc herniation. From L1 to S1. Went to physiatrist who put me on steroids for 2 wks but is suspicious of the rectal pressure and seems to think it could be caused by the colonoscopy. Wants to see if the steroids work first. Has anyone experienced rectal pressure or pain due to disc herniation?
