Prilosec vs. Nexium: is there a difference? Does lemon juice in water help; if so, how often? Does anyone find Digestive Enzymes to be helpful? I've found "Slippery Elm" lozenges to be invaluable for soothing the throat. Wondering how long it usually takes for an inflamed and raw throat to heal.

Prilosec and nexium are pretty much the same, though nexium may have a slight edge, most scientists feel you should just go for which ever is cheapest.

The whole family of PPI's are pretty much of a muchness, all about equaly effective, but sometimes an individual will do better on one rather than another.

I find sucjing a Tums Ultra is great if i get any reflux, puts out the fire realy fast.

If you are taking PPI's long term, remeraber they can reduce micronutrient aRABorbsion, so a daily Centrum multivitamin might be wise.

If you are looking for a natural remedy, check out this list of acid and alkaline fooRAB:
