LPR or Cricopharyngeal spasm

I understand that I am asking opinions in this question and that anything anyone says is not something I should act on without discussing with my ENT.

A few weeks ago I felt as if I had something in my throat, like a bit of food that I couldn't swallow. Sometimes it was on the left, sometimes on the right. Sometimes when I talked it felt like it was in my ear vibrating - sometimes the left ear, sometimes the right. Sometimes it felt like a hair or a piece of fuzz. It got worse over the course of a week and I made an appointment with an ENT. While waiting for this appointment I read everything I could find online about a lump in my throat and diagnosed myself with LPR. I also had mucus and sore throat at the time (which actually turned out to be a cold that had passed around my entire family and is now gone).

During my exam the ENT found nothing remarkable. No redness or swelling, no signs of reflux. My ears were clear as well. I think the only reason reflux came up was because I mentioned it. He gave me Zegerid 40mg to take once daily and within about four days my symptoms were totally gone.

Two weeks later I had a follow up appointment with him and was told to start taking the medication once every other day for a week and then quit, taking it only as needed in the future. However, the lump feeling came back that very afternoon and has not left since. Again sometimes on the left, sometimes the right, sometimes a hairball feeling. I am still taking the Zegerid daily, but am now second guessing my diagnosis.

I do not have a cough or hoarseness. I don't have post nasal drip or an extraordinary amount of mucus. I don't have a bad taste in my throat. I do clear my throat more often than usual, but not because I feel I must, but to try to get rid of the lump feeling. I have no problems with swallowing or food coming back up. In fact, the only time I feel relief is when I am eating and brief time afterward.

So (sorry this is getting long) I am now wondering if it could be something else. I do have a bit of health anxiety, so I turn to the internet more than I should, I'm afraid. I hate to think I'm so worried about having a soda or a cup of coffee due to reflux that I don't have or that I am taking medication that I don't need. I wonder if my lump sensation may be Cricopharyngeal spasm and/or caused by stress.

I know nobody can diagnose me, but I'm just wondering if there are people that were positively diagnosed with LPR that didn't have any other symptom besides the lump sensation. Not to downplay the lump because the sensation is not painful, but the worrying and irritation is definitely affecting the quality of my life right now.

I'm going to give it a few more days and I won't have a choice but to go back to the ENT again.

Thanks for any input.
