Diet is key. When I eat fish & veggies with rice or salad and balsamic dressing I do very well. Stuff like more than 4 large cups of coffee, beer with too many hops or bad food like pizza will throw me off the cliff. I have been on prevacid for 10 years but lately made the switch to the OTC prevacid and am experiencing heart burn again. I too am a VO guy and like you start out low, deep and strong in the AM but by 2:30 PM I am tight, thin and tire easily. I attribute that to normal stress of the day and I simply burn out on VO if I am doing anything more than 30 or 60 radio or TV aRAB. The flem thing could be your surroundings and your sinus's reacting. I use a humidifier in my VO booth prior to dropping voice over and that helps. But what prompted me to do that was something in the air was making me all flemmy too and found myself clearing my voice every minute or so which as you know effects your vocal chorRAB into sounding beat-up after a dozen or so times. I'd get off all the meRAB less the prevacid and try an air purifier with a humidifier after taking a hot shower...see if you get more sustainability and consistency. Anti-inflammatory nose spray along with a snot buster may be good to for those big days with lots on the calender. Steve-o in Boise

I believe the OTC Prevacid is only about 1/2 the dosage as the prescription. I would have to take 4 of those daily to equal what I used to take.
