For any of you LPR sufferers, I need some advice, please. I have terrible choking episodes almost every single night when I want to go to bed. (This is in addition to all my other symptoms, but my question right now is about the choking.) I feel like when I am choking that I need someone to continually hit me on the back to provide some relief. Sometimes it is so horrible that it goes on for over an hour or two. I live with my parents, and they have been supportive enough to sit with me and hit my back for hours at a time. My question is, is this hitting on the back helpful or will the choking subside without the hitting on the back? I don't want to make my parents suffer through hours of hitting my back, but I am very afraid of choking to death and feel like being hit on the back must be helping me. Please, can anyone tell me how you deal with your lpr choking episodes?
