Lowes paint...can I have them darken it?

I bought a gallon of paint today. I had a color in my mind that I wanted, and found one of those little magazine type things with colors, and pictures to see what the paint looks like. I found a wall painted the color I wanted, but it didn't say what color they used. In the inside of the brochure thing there was a few paint swatches and one color that looked simililar to the one in the picture..I asked the girl in the paint section for help, but she brushed me off and said she had no idea what color was used in the brochure...she didn't even try looking for something simililar for me. I ended up getting the color of the the swatch that was in there, brought it home, and it's too light. I should have gotten the shade darker....is there anyway I can have them darken it or switch it out for me...it's expensive so I dont feel like buying paint all over again, and wasting the stuff I just bought!
