Don't listen to mike. Actually lowering the bike does have performance benefits. When a bike is lowered it is less apt to wheelie under hard launches but it does affect handling. Orient express and vortex make good lowering links for the rear, but you will to slide the fork tubes up in the triple trees to lower the front and that kind of looks dumb. Brock's performance sells kits that come with adjustable lowering links for the rear and a limiting strap for the front. The limiting strap bolts to the front calipers and cinches down to compress the forks. This kit is better for drag racing. You can always send out the forks and have them shortened but that is pricey.
