lowering an Acura Integra (3rd gen) with springs?

im considering getting a 3rd gen. integra and will eventually lower it a bit. (1.3" - 1.7") with springs. if anyone has (or knows anyone that has) done this, did you have any problems with anything under the car being too low? and did you have to replace any stock parts, or did the springs just drop right in? and it will have the stock body parts too. no body kit to get all scraped up and ugly every time i leave my driveway!
