Lowering a '06 Boulevard C50

I'm interested in getting my bike lowered, just wondering if anyone has done this and basically, even if it's possible.

The bike was originally purchased for my husband, he's 6' tall and I'm only 5' 1" - so I'm a little shorter and it would be much easier (and safer) if it's lowered.

I have a call into the dealership that I bought the from, hopefully they will call me back soon.

Thanks for any information.

That's good to hear, you must be happy since you keep on using this product.

I haven't heard back from the dealership on their opinion of this.

How long does it take to install the kit?

Well my first one took about 2 hours. But after I had done a few, me and another experenced friend had it down to about 20 minutes. We did 7 or 8 in one day at a rally in Green Bay :P.

Yeah, get that kit from john's kits. You can lower the front also if you want, with shorter fork springs from Cobra or Progressive, but most folks find just lowering the back drops the seat enough for them.

i bought my kit from pacificcoaststar.com easy to put on took maybe 30mins and 2 mins to change the ride hight from 1 to 2 1/4 drop well worth the money 50$ heres the link Volusia Lowering Kit

off there web site

In early 2000 we were the ORIGINAL company to introduce a two position lowering kit for the Volusia. Later that year we improved on that kit with our adjustable 2 stage kit. Our lowering kits made it very easy and quick to adjust between the 2 settings without removing the linkage bolts.

The positions the kit provides are: 1" lower than stock and the Ultimately low 2 1/4" below stock. Don't be frustrated with inferior lowering kits, that either don't allow 2 up riding, or modify the spring so stiff that riding is uncomfortable. Our kit is very easy to install, (takes about 30 minutes) and requires no permanent modifications to your bike. Also, our kit does not change the stiffness or the comfort of the ride, nor does it require you to remove the shock or spring. The kit comes with complete and thorough instructions. Changing between the settings takes a 17mm wrench and less than 3 minutes. Note: Our photos and measurements are taken without a rider on the bike! Be sure to compare apples with apples.

I'm so excited, I spoke to my neighbor and he builds custom bikes and tinkers with anything that has a motor.

I buy the kit and he'll put it in for me for only $50. Can't beat that.

I'll look into that westcostar too!

I used JJ's kit off ebay but i went with the 3inch drop, great kit. I have not had any problems with it.
