hi i m a helicopter pilot and i have developed mild pain in lower back. as per doctor it is case of week muscle around the spine where as second opinion said that gap between last disc (which is like a jelly)has reduced . they call it a case of PADT(i may be wrong in this terminology)

please advice me on this and what treatment should i go for (doctors suggested me to go through IFV,SWD,AND ULTRASONIC TREATMENT)

~ hi ~ Welcome to the forum!! I'm sorry for what you're going though. I personally hadn't heard of the term you're using. However, to me it sounRAB like Degenerative Disc Disease - like your losing height and there's changes in the spacing between discs.

For this condition there are many treatments for pain you could try going the epidural route and treat fairly conservatively. However, if the condition becomes more severe surgery might be considered. It just really has to do with you and how you're functioning with it and how your spine is doing. Probably regular MRIs would be recommended to ensure the condition isn't getting any worse. There's also a possibility that you would find Physical Therapy beneficial. :)

I hope this answered your question. Wishing you the best and relief from your lower back pain.
