my wife who is 30 years of age was lying on the couch yesterday evening. she tied to get up and couldn't, i had to help her up and into bed i rubbed deep heat into the painful area but she still has the pain i came back from work today had to help her out of bed to go to the lav and back.....
is there any medication she can take as its Friday evening and we missed the docs...

You might try using ice packs - 20 minutes on- 20 minutes off and taking motrin/aleve or ibuprophen around the clock as directed to help reduce the inflammation. If the pain becomes to severe, you might consider trying an urgent care facility. Good luck and I pray she feels better soon.

Hi Jim

Sorry to hear your wife is having problems.

I agree with 'Pepper' about using hot and cold packs and using ibubrofen.
I find my local chemist quite helpful when i have a problem and the doc's isnt open.Mine is very helpful.

I would say if she gets no relief over the weekend go see the doc next week but if it gets so painful and you are very worried the only option would be to go to your local A&E.
