I am hoping someone can help me figure what is going on...For the past few months or so, I have been having pain in my lower back, but only in the morning. It usually wakes me up and then is gone when I actully get out of bed. I flipped my mattress over thinking that was the problem and it hasnt helped. I do sleep on my stomach, so I think that may have something to do with it. But I have been sleeping on my stomach since I was a little kid and I have never had any kind of pain.

I am 27 and never had a problem with back in anyway, nor have I injured it ever either.

I guess I am just confused on where it came from.

Anyone else have this?

Hey NY,

We all have some degree of pain in the morning. Without any kind of testing you won't know.

Start with your regular doc and if needed they will refer you to a specialist or order tests to see whats going on back there.

I had two level fusion and one of the first things I asked the doc was how soon I would be able to sleep on my stomach again! I am 47 and have slept on my stomach most of my life...plus my husband says its the only position I don't snore in! LOL

Try anti inflammatories and ice/heat if you can but GET IT CHECKED>

I waited and ended up with permanent nerve damage.

Blessings,
Momz
