Please tell me what this means! It's from my MRI report.
Findings:
1. The vertebral bodies are in normal alignment and of normal height. The marrow signed is unremarkable throughout. The upper lurabar levels are unremarkable without spinal or forminal stenosis.
L3-4 images demonstrate mild asymetrical disc bulging which lateralizes to the right with mild right foraminal narrowing. There is no definitive nerve root compression.
L4-5 images demonstrate asymmetrical dic bulging which lateralizes to the left with mild left foraminal narrowing. There is no evidence of nerve root compression. There is mild facet arthropathy at this level.
L5-S images demonstrate mild bilateral facet arthropethy. There is no evidence of spinal or forminal stenosis.
Impression:
1. Mild lower level facet arthropathy.
2. Mild right foraminal narrowing at L3-4 and mild left foraminal narrowing at L4-5.
What does this mean? I've already had PT and taken NSAID's and muscle relaxers and I am in PAIN. I can NOT stand in one place at all, it's hard to walk and I have to squirm to sit comfortably.
Will I need surgery? I'm going to an orthorpediac surgeon Friday, will he suggest surgery? If so, should I allow an ortho surgeon or should I request a neuro surgeon?
Help me understand my pain!
