Not sure where to post this...my husband is currently seeing an endocrinologist. He tested highest level cortisol before being out of range high and lowish FSH. THey tested him for pituitary tumor MRI but none found. He has severe seasonal affective disorder and was bad this year. He was on antidepressants for 12 years and stopped cold turkey last month. He tested for testosterone 299 ... he is 44 years old. ANYHOW...I am suffering incredibly with his moods. I know that a lot of this is him going cold turkey off his antidepressant. I also know that his moods were horrible even before that which is why he started seeing the endocrinologist. The mood swings meshed with pit. tumor and with hypothyroid but those numbers came back normal. He is doing a 24 hour cortisol urine test right now ... perhaps Cushing's disease and also has an appt with a urologist about the low testosterone next month. I am so confused about the HRT treatment for low t and need to know how bad low t men can really be before they get help. He is being extremely mean...is blaming me for every single thing that goes wrong. Is unaffectionate all of a sudden. I know where he is every minute of the day... believe me, he is not cheating. I am hoping other men with low t or who used to have low t can give me some hope about treatment because he is driving me crazy. How much better did you feel?
