I have a 02 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3.1 Liter engine and automatic transmission, the car has about 95,000 on it and a tune up was done about 10,000 Miles ago and a fuel filter about 5,000 miles ago. I have noticed when the car is accelerating and trying to get up to speed it kinda feels weak when it first starts accelerating, the a/c is not on when it does this, then it gets into 2nd gear and it takes off fast like I am used to. I am not sure if there is a problem or not, I was thinking the injectors are plugged up a little bit or there is a exhaust problem with like the cat, there is also a pressure solenoid in transmission that I think is going bad because it shifts funny sometimes. What do you think is going on? Tranny issue? Engine Issue? Is there something common these cars have a problem with? What can I check?
