Hi,

I work for LOVEFiLM and thought the following may be of interest.

As 2009 draws to a close, LOVEFiLM is polling the best films of the year. All those who vote in the survey will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win one of 1st prize

Thats whats making me think of leaving LoveFilm as you can't rent films from Universal Studios. We should get a reduction in price due to this.

You can't rent any of the new releases, no. And yet they haven't reduced their prices.

Everyone seems to be changing to Blockbuster's service recently, like myself. Seem to have better availability of new releases too - already got Harry Potter, The Proposal and The Hangover :)

That's ridiculous - I've been on an account holiday from LoveFilm for a few weeks as the discs they have been sending me recently are all scratched and I don't ever seem to get my high priority choices...are Blockbuster any better?

Yeah, BB have a list system instead of a priority system. I always seem to get stuff in my Top 5 - like I said I already got Harry Potter and The Hangover within a week of release. LF always seemed to send me my low-priority stuff even if I had tons of high priority stuff :/

Absolutely loving BB after a couple of years of LF, highly recommended ;)

Maybe instead of wasting time making topics like this, you should sort out your problems with Universal, and clean up your discs before sending them out...

:)

It's probably a case of them becoming arrogant and refusing to pay certain prices to Universal or something. It's LF's reputation and their customers who lose out though. Universal are just laughing as if people want to watch a film, they'll just find another way of watching by buying it, changing to BB's subscribtion service, renting via a BB store, or using VoD services like 360/PS3/BT Vision/Sky Box Office etc. Meanwhile, LF will lose long-term customers like me.

LF dug its own grave spamming/creating this thread in the current climate. Clearly they have no sense of how their customers feel about the Universal situation.

See I've been thinking of cancelling my lovefilm now, but I was with Blockbusters before them and they were terrible, slowed down sending out my choices A LOT after a certain time frame, that I got so fed up I cancelled. And Lovefilm more or less owns every other one out there I believe...
