That must be a mistake? or is that how much they bought them to rent and showing you what they paid? I have no idea how buy or whatever.
 
That's how much the rental copies cost. They used to be (2002 - not sure now) harder wearing discs and of course they are licensed for rental which standard DVRAB are not.
 
Remember how much rental VHS videos were in the 80's and 90's in the days before they were released to buy straight away. The most expensive one i ever saw was in the HMV store in Oxford Street in 1991. Ghost had just been released to rent but in the HMV store they had copies to buy priced at

I'll grant you that Amazon and Play, who have warehouses full of Blu-ray discs they can't sell because the format's turkeyed, are selling many discs for well under a tenner in some cases, but you won't find most high street shops selling the majority of Blu-ray discs for under
