I play tennis, I'm a tennis guy and this one day I was playing tennis with these two girls I didn't know. It was at a public court and I'm a very open guy, so I was talking with this girl who was hitting next to me, and we had a bit of a conversation. To sum it up quickly, we in the same class (08). We are both going / about to go to two colleges rather far away, and I like her. Well, she is working at the pool at that park for the summer, so I went swimming to buy a ticket from her even though I really don't enjoy public swimming much. She probably doesn't like me I figured since we only met once excluding me buying a ticket from her and all. My friend from her high school told me that she had a boyfriend and that he was an A-hole (sort of). Well, I figured it's not going to happen anyways since we've only talked once and we're going to different schools, and I don't work, and I have this honor code thing where I won't allow myself to have a girl friend if I dont have a job.
Well, all I do now is I go to the tennis courts to play tennis hoping she'd come. I know it won't work out, but I don't know why, I just want to keep hoping or something.

you should talk to her more and give it a go. You assume it wont work out, you dont know for sure yet. Hanging out with someone costs nothing so you dont need a job for it. Why dont you ask her if she wants to hang out or something, dont give up yet =)
