Louis Theroux - Law and Disorder in Lagos (BBC2)

Yeah good, call me a cynic but I don't think MC knows much about administering transport, and representing transport workers.Very sinister. It was funny how everyone was wearing an Arsenal shirt.

Please though Louis can you leave the 'law and order crime & punishment' subject alone for a while now, as good as they are 4 of your last 6 documentaries have been thematically very similar (poverty ridden cities, gangs, organized crime drugs, police attempts to fight back etc).

That was really scary and depressing. Are there any nice bits of Lagos?

Also the Radio Times talked about the "capital of Nigeria" which has been Abuja, not Lagos, since 1991.

Love Louis's opening euphemism "this dynamic and somewhat chaotic city".

At least he didn't describe this hell on earth as (ahem) vibrant ;)

As a fellow Arsenal fan that amused me too. I thought the programme backed up every stereotype that I had about that place. It was a good programme though.

I really enjoyed it, everything I thought about what was happening in that place was exactly what I had expected. Louis gets his points across so well but that place is obviously so currupt.

God I knew it was bad but watching last night and seeing guys running around shooting guns up in the air just shows how lucky people are living in London and the major cities.

I had to laugh when Louis was being his typical 'naive' self when he asked the guy 'so why were they shooting guns in the air then' :D That sort of character works when he's interviewing off beat subjects but not in Lagos :D
