While in a call I pushed the button that would normally turn on loudspeaker on the phone, however it just muted the caller on the other end so I could not hear them. I tried calling myself and the ringtone is not playing. I tried music and there is no sound even though its playing.
The phone is not in mute/silent mode its in normal mode, so I'm not sure if its the speaker thats died or whether it's something i can fix in the menu (not that I've been able to find anything yet).
Also this stopped working before I updated to Android 2.1, and is still not working after.
just discovered the speaker is not dead as if you put to your ear you just just hear a faint bit of the sound coming out, but its turned all the way up so it should be really loud.
