Loud Clicking noise and drop feeling on bike (BMX)?

When Every I pedal with the smallest bit of pressure there is a loud clicking noise coming from the chain/crank area and it feels like the pedal is dropping (it isnt) every rotation, it makes pedalling impossible. Help.
