LOTS of Motorola Droid issues?

I've had so so sooo many issues with my Droid, but I currently have a really major one that makes it pretty much 100% necessary to replace.

First, my Droid would not turn on past the Motorola logo screen for an entire week. Now, it turns on one out of every ten tries, but once it's on, it has some major issues. At first, whenever I tried to type, I was unable as the phone would seemingly type ghost letters continuously. It was the same string of letters over and over and over again - totally random...mxv 608 or something like that. It did that the first two times I got it to turn on. On the third try, the physical keyboard simply would NOT respond and the on-screen keyboard would not appear when I turned the phone horizontally. The letter chain issue didn't seem to be a problem this time, but obviously it's much harder to do anything when I can't type. I'm currently attempting to boot it up for a fourth time. I've done TONS of battery pulls and it's charged, so that's not the issue. I've tried a hard reset, but once it's off, it will only turn back on at such unpredictable times that it's hard to do that.

Now, I will DEFINITELY be taking the phone back to the store as soon as I can, as this isn't the first time I've had big issues, but I was just wondering if there is anything I can do until then. Thanks!
