before the camp was ? built and then Neil Frogurt is subsequently shot with fire arrows and dies...if nothing can be changed, then shouldn't he have been shot with fire arrows in the past and have already been dead by the time the raft went out to meet the freighter (in the future)? Seems like the writers screwed up there, didn't they? If he died in the past, and nothing in the past can be changed (according to Daniel Faraday), then how can he be alive in the present when the raft went out to meet the freighter if he died in the past?

You seem to forget the island is skipping to even BEFORE the survivors made it to the island, so honestly how is that happening? Remember, the hatch was blown up meaning they had been there, then it was in tact which means they haven't arrived yet or found it, the camp hadn't been built because the survivors hadn't arrived, when it comes to time travel, nothing is definite and yes, it's very confusing I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole time travel thingy.

Here's another one, if the survivors have been gone for 3 years does that mean the island has been skipping for three years?

I love LOST but it's so darn confusing.

Yes, what you say makes sense. But when has Lost ever made sense? :) There are just too many paradoxes in time travel. Doing even one small thing differently in the past could lead to a whole different future. I'm just not letting my mind go there with Lost. There are too many things I can't explain and I'll just leave it up to the writers to make it work out in the end.
