This morning I turned on the TV and none of my HD channels were working. I have a 9200 receiver and a single dish which was installed in 2005 and has worked great ever since. I checked my signal and SAT 91 comes in at about 87% on transponder 11. SAT 82 also showed 87% but said wrong satellite.

Here is what I have done so far:

1. Ran check switch - no change
2. Disconnected both cables to the reciever and ran check switch - after reconnecting and running check switch again - still no change
3. Checked Digital Home forum - one suggestion was to disconnect the 2a and 2b cables on the SW44 switch and then check signal. Theory was that the dish is picking up the 91 signal via the 82 input. Sounded plausible so I tried it out. Still have 87% on both 91 and 82 (the 82 signal is still red) even though the cables are disconnected.
4. Powered off everything (including power for switch), waited 10 minutes then powered it back up - still no change
5. Played with dish to max signal. 91 got up to 90, but 82 still showing wrong satellite.

So my question is this...why would I be getting a signal on 82 (even though it's the wrong one) when the 82 LNB is disconnected from the SW44 switch?

I'm one step away from calling a technician but I can't do that till tomorrow, so I thought I check and see if anyone has any brilliant ideas.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry if you have, but try holding the power switch (on the receiver) to force a reset, THEN do a check switch again. My 9200 went goofy yesterday/today with the same strange symptoms, and I had to do a reset, then a checkswitch to get it back.

Barring that, have fun with tech support 'cause there is nothing wrong with BEV or any of its receivers, or firmware.

Still have 87% on both 91 and 82
It's because the receiver still see 91 when it's supposed to see 82.

Dying SW44.?

Connect 82 directly to receiver, check switch again.

Same for 91.

If they both work correctly, I believe a new SW44 is required.

Thanks for the replies -

It turned out that one of the LNBs was fried. Had it replaced this morning and everything is operational again.
