Lost Boys 3 on the Way

Man, I was gutted when they brought the 2nd one out and ruined the memory of the amazing first. When the two Cory's were at their funniest and when they could do no wrong.

Kiefer Sutherland as a vampire and the two Cory's trying to kill him :eek:. I know, it was exciting stuff.

The second film was passable, but the cutting of Newlander's Alan Frog as the "big bad" at the end to make way for a cameo from Corey Haim was pretty unforgivebale.
 
I hope it's better than Lost Boys 2, that was so mundane with an awful contrived ending. Even the much maligned The Covenant was better than LB2 IMHO.
 
I think because they are just trying to make more money on something that was so great. And when the 2nd film sucks, it just turns your beloved movie into a franchise, rather than being a one off masterpiece.

The first still stanRAB alone as a single piece of cinema though, if the sequels aren't to your taste just ignore them.

I mean it's not like i'll stop loving Jaws just because it's got a bunch of half arsed sequels.

As for the films, I have them both, the first is an 80's vampire classic, the second well I can take it or leave it, I still find it hard taking Corey Feldman seriously as an adult actor.
