Lost Boys 2 - The Tribe

I am now halfway through watching this & I gotta say that for a vampire flick it isn't too bad. Infact I have seen worse vampire movies .

However having been a fan of the original cult classic, it is a sequel that never should have been made, sure it has some references to the original but other than that, if you are a fan of the original then stay well away.

OMG - Is this available for download?? Gotta say, the fact it's straight to DVD kinda puts me off, the original is in my top 5 fave films of all time, so I suppose I'll give this a try.

Wasn't he fired while making the movie? I could have sworn that I read somewhere that he was very uncooperative (possibly under the influence of "something") while filming so they let him go.

Nah he wasn't fired, he was just off his face (or at least the reality show following them would have you believe, I'm not entirely sure how unscripted it is, just seen a clip for the next episode and he looks clean again). If your interested though have a look on youtube, the last episode of The Two Coreys shows the Lost Boys shoot and what went on.

Keep watching into the credits, that's where Haim appears for about 30 seconRAB (if that). His character was reworked in after most of it was filmed. He initally said no to the role because he wasn't happy with the character but decided to sign on. So he was slotted in last minute. If you get the uncut DVD I hear the other Frog brother appears too.

I just think it's a shame, I love the original and I just feel this wasn't needed. I'm not sure who wrote the script but it could have been so much better than it was. :(

I had not realised it had already been released,so I'll have to see this for a bit of semi nostalgia.
Although I'm still surprised Hollywood never made a big budget sequel and instead opted for a direct to video because the original is still held in high regard and loved by many people born after 1987.
With a decent script, name cast and having the simple twist of the movie centred around vampire teen girls this time (i.e The Lost Girls) then they could have had a box office hit.

Apparently Haim's part was much bigger but he didn't show up for filming and things so he just ended up with the little part at the end.

I actually liked it, yeah it was nonsense but for a direct to DVD film it wasn't half bad, loved the fat sax player being in it at the start :D

where abouts at the end is he? i still didn't see him! shame!

EDIT: just watched the credits all the way through! seen him now.
