Lost a friend

I lost a friend and fellow Desmohio club member this morning. Bill was an Army medic back from Iraq, he was on his way to work at the reserve center on his 748 when a woman driving a mini van pulled out in front of him.

I count myself lucky as i got to spend yesterday evening with him and other friends at a local bike night. He was having a good time, talking bikes and telling Chuck Norris jokes(you had to be there).

RIP Brother........................

My condolences. Reminder to us all the risk we take for the hobby we love. Another soccor mom gets bike story. I'm glad I'm lucky enough to do most of my riding on roads that see only about a few cars per hour.

Ten-6
Nothing I or anyone else can say will ever ease the pain.. It seem’s like such an even crueler irony that a brother at arms can come home safe from a WZ, only to by taken by a moments inattention from some one not paying attention. Please pass on my respect and sympathy to this fine mans family as well as yourself.

+1 Unfortunately, it just goes to show all of us who ride that people in tin cans don't look! I had the same thing happen to me at 45 mph no less, only I was lucky enough to walk away with a broken clavicle and some bumps and bruises. It deeply saddens me.
