A little bit of background. I am 18 years old, a guy, and I'm 5'9-5'10 and weigh about 150 pounds. I have absolutely no muscle or definition on me. I have a bit of a gut forming, but I am still pretty thin. I want to get in shape. Before getting into weight training, I wanted to try to lose the bit of weight on my gut and chest. I'm guessing it's about 10-15 pounds. I just don't know how to go about doing it.
How many calories a day should I be consuming and burning in order to lose weight? I have access to a stationary bike. If I use it for 30-40 minutes straight every day and eat/burn the appropriate number of calories, will I be able to lose the weight by using the stationary bike? If so, how long would it take?
