Getting average reviews..apparently the transfer isnt the best, especially on FOTR.

Anyone splashing out on the box set?

nah dont see the point,i bought the EE's on DVD would only think of upgrading to them on Blu Ray

I've got the extended version on DVD and love it. I may upgrade when that version comes out.

I hope the transfers will be better on the extended version if this blu-ray isn't getting the best reviews.

Yep also heard there are no extras like the DVD boxset version. Which makes the Blu-Ray not worth it. So I'm holding off until they release a proper Blu-Ray version with all the extras.
