lookling to get into a photography career taking pictures at concerts. Where do i start?

my passion is music and photography. Id like to get into a career doing both. Ive talked to some people at concerts with the press and most of them just kind of fall into it.Is there actually a career doing something like this or is it like a who you know kind of thing?
