Hey guys,
I posted in the Bell forum few hours ago today but I think the subject might be more specific to this forum. Anyway.
I'm looking to replace my Nokia 6225 from Bell. I got the Nokia for his awesome RF Performance, which is one of the most important feature for me. Here are some other features that I want on my new phone :
- Bluetooth
- MP3 Player (I'll replace my iRiver with my cellphone, to combine both)
- Email capable
- Can install 3rd party softwares (like from getjar.com)
- Nice browser
- Good battery life (I listen at least 2h of music per day + chitchat for 30 min top on the phone)
- I MUST be able to put an SD card to go up to 1 or 2GB on my phone.
- Edit : Forgot to mention : Must support MSN Messenger network and official software!
So with all those features, I managed to list 2 phones :
- Nokia 6265i from Telus
- Samsung A920 from Bell
Now, I much more prefer the look of the Nokia, and to be honest, I prefer Nokia brand, but I heard good AND bad things about the Samsung. I hate flips phone, but I don't care if the A920 is good. The problem with the Nokia is that the email client isn't builtin, I must install a 3rd party software from the Internet. Not a big deal overall.
So I got 2 main questions here :
- How is the Telus network compared to the Bell one ? I never had problems with Bell (even the customer service) but I heard that the Telus network (and RF performance) wasn't as good as the Bell one.
- How is the sound quality, RF performance and other "basic features" compared to my Nokia 6225 ? I totally LOVE my current 6225 because I can get RF nearly everywhere, even in the deepest tunnel of the Montreal's subway (yellow line if you know what I'm talking about). Sound quality on my 6225 is nothing exceptionnal, and better would be very fine.
Overall, I'm looking for an mp3 phone to combine my iRiver with my cellphone and also begin to read emails and internet stuff while I'm not near a computer. I thought about a Treo 650, but it wouldn't be worth the price for what I'm planning to do. I also want Bluetooth to connect to headset, headphones (music) and my computer. I don't really mind switching from Bell to Telus if the network is the same, but otherwise, I'm not interested into Rogers of Fido, even if Rogers have the W810i or D807, which seem to be awesome phones.
I guess, some of you guys can help me out
Thank you !
Neo
