prevent me from getting in? Ok, this has been bugging me for awhile and would love to hear a straight answer. Last January or so i was involved in car accident where I totaled my truck but didn't seek medical attention until later on.
During this time i was talking to my Marine recruiter trying to get him to speed up the process of me getting into the Marine Core.

When i was hospitalized my mother took me to go see a doctor and he advised me down to Fair view hospital down in Minneapolis to get a quick 10 min. MRI done and an evaluation.
When i got down there, they took the 10 min. MRI and didn't find anything BUT they kept me in the psych ward for 1 1/2 weeks which I didn't understand. When I was in there I made the mistake of calling up my recruiter and telling him where I was and what was going on.

When I finally got discharged out of the hospital they told me I had bi polar which I thought was total B.S and still do since I haven't taken any medications for it nor does my family and I think I should be on them. After being discharged however I ended up contacting my recruiter and he said he could no longer accept me to join and not just that but all the other branches wouldn't be able to accept me. Needless to say I was pretty heart broken but still thought there would be a way to get in since I'm NOT bi polar.

Ever since I've been discharged I was approached by the university of Minnesota Brain Imaging Study to take part in a study where I sit there and they ask questions, make me do puzzles and such, and also take part in more MRI's including a 2 hour long one. Since it's just a study for them and they pay me to do it and it doesn't go on my medical record anymore I decided to take part in it.

But now I'm looking to join again and found a different recruiter that said he could get me in even though I didn't tell him about my brief trip to the psych ward since I'm afraid if I tell him then he would just disqualify me right on the spot.

So I was wondering, If I'm looking at joining the Marines will I have to tell him about my hospitalization and if so, do you think I could still join? Thanks
