Looking to buy a dirt bike>> help?

Hey im looking to buy a dirtbike, not a brand new one because im on a budget.. a tight budget.
First, What is the best quality brand of dirt bike? Honda?
Second, im 6' 2" - 6' 3", so what is a good amount of CCs? I wanna be able to go fast, but im a beginner so not insane.

I do not know really anything about motorcycles or dirt bikes, so ANY helpful information is much appreciated. Thanks!
 
First off I'd say you want to start with something with a smaller engine that wont throw you off the bike but has the guts to do some awesome stuff. Have a look at a RM250cc Suzuki. Good brand. Yamaha are also just as good. When buying a bike, ask the guy if it is a 2stroke or 4 stroke. 4 stroke engines last longer and they sound BEEFY.
 
Id say the best brand is either kawasaki or yamaha. You could get a 250 but they're alot faster than a 125. Also if i was you i would get a 4 stroke cuz they are a lil slower than 2 strokes. 4 strokes are better for climbing and 2 strokes are better for racing. A 125 2 stroke is jus as fast as a 250 4 stroke.
