Looking for US provider with unlimited minutes

My wife could possibly be getting a new job in the near future. This job has a $400/month cell phone allowance.

OK, so yeah, I am pretty excited. I have been searching all of the companies, and no one seems to offer an unlimited minutes plan. I think the most I have found is 6000 anytime for $199/month. We do not have a landline, so I am guessing that she is going to be on the phone quite a bit, and travelling with it.

I saw that MetroPCS offers unlimited minutes, but there is no coverage here. I would love to stay with GSM, but will switch for her benefit. Can anyone advise?

Cricket mainly is in north carolina but check there area map of coverage. There cdma provider and there like regional carrier like suncom is.

Where will she work, live and travel? That should help determine things. If you stay with Cingular, many of their plans include rollover minutes so if you don't use them one month, they can be used up to a year later. I don't know of any carrier that offers unlimited voice minutes. Many have unlimited nights and weekends, but not for daytime hours.

what company do you both work for? check out the discounts that are available. With verizon, our employees get 15% off so that 199 plan would only be 169. With Sprint, we get 23% and that plan would only be 154. You might also want to look at free incoming plans, which may work better.
