looking for the title of a book...?

It's a book about a boy and a girl who can't date.. sort of like romeo and juliet... but more modern... they grew up together and were friends and fell in love.. and they were going to commit suicide.... and the girl ended up getting shot in the head in his car and died...

thats all i really know about it...
