I read a book around 1990, but cannot remember the title or author. The synopsis was as follows:
A guy is part of a team of astronauts in suspended animation on a long space journey. Unfortunately, he wakes up early with no way to get back to sleep for the enire trip. The book describes his decent into madness at the thought of being alone for many many years.
I think the book ends when he kills the entire sleeping crew?
