Okay, so this is many questions in one. FIrst let me explain the situation! currently in the navy as active duty, Im in a LIMDU status and was disqualifed my job due to the medication i will be on (sub duty, many things will disqualify you). Im pending either another LIMDU period, Force conversion, Blue to green or choose to be part of the reduction in force which would let me get out with an honorable discharge and go to college. I have about 6 months before any of these choices will become a reality. I was wondering if anyone on this site was in the same situation? If i were to switch jobs i would pick mass communications specialist or Crypto. Do i have to sign on for a few more years if i switch jobs? and if anyone has any experience with those jobs i would love to know what you think of them. And i guess the most important question, if i go the college route, was there anything you wish you did while you were still in that would have made your transition easier? should i take my act, or sat test again? what would you recommend that i do to make it easier? also did you experience any issues with the post 9-11 GI bill that you would tell someone getting out of the military? and one last question how long will my security clearence be good for?
