I'm looking for some software that'll work on my N80.

Having owned a PPC for sometime, i miss the main feature. Being able to see the weather forecast for 2 cities on the main screen.

Does anyone know of any software that'll display the weather on the front (HOME) screen? It'd be awesome to get that feature back. Was awesome. Downside on the PPC version was not being able to update over Wi-Fi.

I look forward to comments and suggestions.

P.S. - The PPC version could how-ever update over/through USB or over WAP.

I found this thread interesting. However, haven't given it a try. Would rather have a software which simply does what I want rather than messing around (beating around the bush) and not registering etc etc...

There is free software called MobileWeather (look in the freeware thread for a link)

Won't display on your homepage, but you could set one of your active standby apps to it, then you're only one click away. You can set it to auto-update using any access point (wifi or wap) but I don't think you can use USB.

One of the weather applications (I can't recall the name, but it's not Mobile Weather) lets you use the current conditions as your screensaver.

Thats exactly what I do and it works perfectly...I ride a Motorcycle much of the time so I'm constantly checking the weather and its as good as having it on the homescreen when you do auto update.

Hey Greentooth, what is the phone on the right in your signature picture? I can see it is a Nokia but it appears to have some PPC program controlling the home screen. What do you have on the home screen?

Just wondering...

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. It's a shame that nothing is really available without having to "click" any icons. On a side note, i wonder if that 3D UI will come as an update/upgrade for the N80. Seeming their both 3rd edition handsets?

I'm pretty sure it's Handy Weather as well. A couple of their applications come with screen savers, including Handy Weather. I haven't started the trial on mine yet because I'm only using the screen saver and don't want it to stop working when the trial expires. I imagine the screen saver would have the weather information if I did leave the program running though.
